Where is Steve?

LeapXpert Campaign Video

Project Overview

“Where Is Steve?” is a campaign video created to highlight LeapXpert’s core value of providing a Single Professional Identity across all messaging channels. The video uses humor and storytelling to illustrate how customers often struggle to reach their representatives when communication isn’t unified – a problem LeapXpert solves seamlessly.

My Role

As the lead designer on this project, I was responsible for overseeing the entire creative process. I collaborated closely with a production company — from ideation through to final delivery. My contributions included:

  • Developing the original concept, storyline, and script
  • Leading the creative direction, including mood, tone, and visual style
  • Selecting actors and working on-set to ensure visual and brand alignment
  • Overseeing post-production editing to fine-tune pacing, messaging, and clarity

This project was a major cross-functional effort, and I ensured every frame reflected the LeapXpert brand and communicated our message effectively.

Key Takeaways:

This project taught me that a great video is just the beginning. While high-quality content can resonate deeply and even go viral, distribution is key. To truly maximize impact, companies must allocate budget and resources to promote content through paid campaigns on platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn. A strong media strategy is essential to ensure your video reaches the right audience.

Comms Cafe

Concept

One of my proudest achievements as a marketing designer was the creation of our trade show booth: The Modern Comms Café. The concept was inspired by the simple yet powerful idea of choice. Just like a jukebox in a classic 70s diner lets you choose the music you want to hear, our product allows customers to give their clients the freedom to choose the messaging app they prefer to communicate on. It’s about meeting people where they are — and doing it with style.

That idea sparked the entire creative direction. We transformed our booth into a vibrant 70s diner, complete with retro décor, cozy seating areas, and bold, colorful posters showcasing various messaging channels. The nostalgic feel instantly made us stand out, drawing in attendees with both visual charm and thematic clarity.

We knew we needed more than just a pretty space — we wanted engagement. So, we brought in branded root beer floats, a playful nod to the diner theme. They became a major hit. Attendees would stop by for the floats and then stay to ask, “So what do you guys do?” This simple idea sparked dozens of meaningful conversations.

We strategically placed our demo station at the front of the booth to make it easy to jump into product overviews. This seamless setup allowed our team to connect quickly and naturally with curious visitors, turning casual chats into valuable leads.

This project was not outsourced — it was a labor of love, built entirely in-house. My colleague and I handled everything from the initial concept to the final build, pouring in our creativity, late nights, and a shared vision. And it paid off.

The feedback was overwhelming. Not only did we generate high-quality leads and buzz, but both our CEO and VP of Marketing shared that they had never felt so seen at an event before. That comment, for me, was the ultimate validation — proof that great design can create real emotional connection and brand impact.
